    Why in the hell do it take so long to get a release date on an inmate? Some inmates are in jail way past their release date. What seems to be the problem? Help.......

    I have been calling the D.O.C for four months to get a release date on my uncle and all they do is take my name and number and probably throw it away. It's truly sad.

    My husband is at River Correctional Center, and he has been waiting. To get on workrelease since 2012. He is still waiting, and all they keep telling him. We are working on it. Why does it take so long? By the time he gets on workrelease. He will be released by then.

    I live in Shreveport, My husband's first time in River Correction Center. But Louisiana Department of Corrections shipped my husband from Caddo Correction Center in Caddo Parish on March 8th, 2013 On Friday Morning. All his families in Caddo 7 Bossier parish could not efford of all the way from Shreveport to Ferriday for 4 hours drive up there visit. He does not interesting up there, because that place is very expensived,I send him $100.00 then he ordered 3 pairs of inmate's suits, inculde socks etc. Only he worn his tennis shoe. I visited him Last Saturday on March 23rd 2013 by myslef then I found him at R.C.C. I visted him and He so surprised me showed up my visited him. But only me visit him that he knew that because he only my husband that I loved him to death. R.C.C. shaved his hair. But he told me that he was not comfortable and not interested up there because this place is very expensive. We chated, that R.C.C has 100 less beds, but 72 inmates up there inculdes some of them from Shreveport's. He still be patient for 18 months to fought to talk conact the Law about his case that he stay up at R.C.C. for 18 months then release him 18 months then he get parole for 3 years. he won't involued into trouble and not get problems up there at R.C.C because guards up there watch what does he have good behaver attidute for 18 months then they will release him, and they relase shipping him back to Caddo Correction Center. Before 24 hours of his release the R.C.C guards's would conact reach me to pick him up from R.C.C or they shipping him back to C.C.C. If you in Shreveport,Louisiana + Please give me ride up to R.C.C. I would pay you on your gas, all families & friends of my husband's and mine don't have transportation,R.C.C has appointment for my visitation on my husband's on April 6th, every 2 times at month.
