I am really glad that President Obama passed that new bill (18-1). There is too many Black people in jail doing the same time as White people are and getting more time. Cocaine is cocaine but to me I calls it hidden "racism". That law should apply to the State too. Another thing that I say they need to look into is this thing with non-violent offenders. Why should taxpayers have to foot the bill, building expensive prisons for people with non-violence on their records to be housed indefinately. Give them some time but also let them out so they can become productive to their communities by doing at least 1,2,3,4,or even 5 years of community service verses sitting in prisons. Someone needs to come up with a solution to these non-violent offenders. This maybe also be an answer to child support, restitution and any other bills owed from their confinement. For those non-violent offenders who need drug treatment that stem from dealing drugs or using drugs what good will it do them to sit in jail then come out and do the same things. Give them treatment in jail and re-entry into society. I think somebody is getting rich with the prisoners working for 10 and 15 cents an hour. It is a form of slavery (another case of hidden racism). It is a shame that the government punish their prisoners then punish them again by making them work for nothing.

I forgot to give my opion on the commisary. Who gets that money. Like I said before this is another form of "hidden racism". First you lock them up, then they are forced to spend their hard earned money on that expensive commissary that some of the things on there that I couldn't afford and i'm not locked up. Good Lord Almighty!! Somebody is going to be held accountable for treating people the way they are. The Good Lord is still writing.
