Washington Department of Corrections - Prisons & Inmate Search

The state of Washington maintains their own state prison system; 11 correctional facilities which consist of every security level; maximum, medium, and minimum, and 13 re-entry facilities that focus on sober living, and halfway houses that prepare inmates for life outside of prison.

The Washington Department of Corrections is where offenders are sent that have been convicted of felony crimes of murder, rape, assault, serious thefts and drug related offenses. These are offenses of at least one year, and all the way up to life imprisonment. Washington also has a death row with eight people waiting to be executed, however since 2014 there has been a moratorium on executions.
