WHY ARE THE FEMALE GUARDS AND STAFF AT WAYMART HAVING SEX WITH THE INMATES

  2. EX DOG BLOCK RESIDENT Wed, Aug 14 2013 9:52 PM

To put it plain and simple. "Because they can", and for the female officer, there is no commitment/relationship to deal with. At Waymart there are no cells to unlock except in the RHU. There are a few 3 and 4 man rooms on each block and large cubicles that house 15 to 20 men in each. There are 2 cubicles on each block. Between the cubicles is the guards desk. Behind the guards desk is a large utility/storage room. That is where I would "assume" that it is taking place. A very convenient location, plus the door can be locked from the inside. I left in 11/2000. At that time there were no female guards alone on the blocks overnight and only for about 30 minutes during the day. It is a high risk activity for the inmate, if caught, they would be sent to the RHU and while there more than likely beaten by, at the very least, every shift of officers for "raping" one of their officers. Shortly after I left there I heard that they were going to house primarily sex crime inmates there. If they did change it over to that, the physical punishment could be pretty intense. While I was there, A and B blocks were the sex offender "therapy" blocks. I would tell your husband to avoid getting involved in ANY way, especially if he is in there for a sex crime. When that was called Farview Hospital for the Criminally Insane the guards had over the years had beaten quite a few of the patients to death and buried them on the hill just the other side of the fence from the yard in unmarked graves. Most of the bodies were removed 20 or so years ago. From the yard you could see at least 35 dips in the ground where the bodies had been exhumed. Nobody was ever prosecuted for it either.
