What is the Cost of a Remote Video Visit?
Costs vary and are subject to change, but generally visits range from $5.00 to 15.00 for a 15 to 30 minute online or on-site video visit.
How do you know if your Inmate will be available during the time you schedule?
The Securus system knows the times that Desoto County JSCWP inmates are available for remote video visits.
It will not allow you to schedule a visit with your inmate if they are not available or the video visitation kiosk(s) in the jail are booked already.

Visiting Hours in Desoto County JSCWP
The actual visiting hours vary depending on the following factors:
The day of the week.
Where the inmate is housed.
The inmate's sex.
Whether or not it is a Holiday.
Each inmate is allowed one or two visits, ranging from 15 minutes to one hour in length each week. Inmates with special privileges are allowed additional visits.

Desoto County JSCWP requires all visitors to be approved by both the inmate and the jail prior to visiting your inmate, even if the visit is a remote video visit.
Incomplete information on any application is cause for denial.

Who can Visit an Inmate at Desoto County JSCWP
Anyone over the age of 18, who isn't on felony probation and can produce a valid government-issued photo ID can be approved to visit an inmate in this jail.
Visitation applicants in DeSoto County County must sometimes submit to a background check. Those with warrants are denied visitation or if allowed to visit, will be arrested at the jail.

The best way to be sure the visit takes place is to dress as if you are meeting someone's grandmother for the first time.
Remote Video visitation is no different. If you are not dressed discretely, your visit will be terminated. Future visits could also be affected.

Jail visits are conducted in person behind plexi-glass or remotely, either from home or on-site at Desoto County JSCWP.
