Register by calling: (213) 893-5100. A jail staff member will walk you through the process and email your user name and password for scheduling visits.

If you would prefer to register in person, go to 450 Bauchet St, Los Angeles 90012. A jail staff member will walk you through the process and email your user name and password for scheduling visits.   You must have a valid government issued ID to present during this registration process.

If you have been convicted of a felony or are on felony / misdemeanor probation you must fill out a special form and send it to the jail for processing. Who Can Visit an Inmate in LA COUNTY JAIL - Century Regional Detention Facility

Anyone who has registered, been approved and can produce a valid government-issued photo ID, can visit an inmate in this jail.

Visitation applicants in Los Angeles County must sometimes submit to a background check. Those with warrants are denied visitation or if allowed to visit, will be arrested at the jail.

Visiting Hours in LA COUNTY JAIL - Century Regional Detention Facility

Each inmate is provided with at least two visits totaling at least one hour per week. General population inmates may receive four 15 minute visits per week totaling one hour, and special handle inmates may receive two 30 minute visits per week totaling one hour

Saturday through Tuesday: 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 a.m.

Don't wear see-through material.

Have all undergarments covered (males and females) and avoid a lot of cleavage.

Shorts and skirts should reach mid-thigh.

Sleeves should be at least half-way to your elbow.

Clothing promoting gang affiliation.

Anything displaying drugs, weapons or profanity.

LA COUNTY JAIL - Century Regional Detention Facility Visitation Tips, Rules and Guidelines

You must arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled visit or it will be forfeited. 

Check in by showing valid government-issued, photo ID. (They will run your name for warrants nationwide before allowing you to visit the inmate. If a warrant pops up, you will be arrested).

Go through a metal detector and a search of purses, etc.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and guardians must provide proof of their guardianship.

Leave all personal belongings, except for your state ID in your vehicle or in a locker (if one is provided).

Children must be monitored at all times or jail staff will end the visit early.

Check your email or the jail website before leaving to go to a visit, as visits get cancelled for various reasons. You will be notified by email if your visit is canceled and you need to reschedule.

Inmates not yet classified and still in reception cannot receive visits. No exceptions. To visit a “high-power inmate you must call the jail to schedule one.
