It is highly recommended that prior to an inmate visit you call the jail at 970-498-5200 to confirm that visits have not been cancelled.

Larimer County Jail & Detention Center Visiting Hours, Schedule and Instructions


Step 1

Schedule the visit.

Arrive at the jail 10 minutes prior to your scheduled visit.

Step 3

Show a valid government-issued photo ID at the visitation desk.

Wait for your ID to be run through a national database to check for active warrants. If you have one your visit will be declined and you will be arrested.

Step 4

Submit to any requested search.



Who Can Visit an Inmate in Larimer County Jail & Detention Center

Anyone over the age of 18, who does not have an active arrest warrant and who has registered an account and scheduled a visit may visit an inmate at this jail.

Jails limit the number of people that can visit an inmate to two adults each visit and one child for each visit.

Children under age 18 must be accompanied by the parent or legal guardian.

The Larimer County Jail & Detention Center reserves the right to deny any person the right to enter the jail it chooses and for any reason.

Larimer County Jail & Detention Center does not require an application but does require you to register an account at ICSolutions so that you may schedule visits with the inmate. 



Visiting Hours in Larimer County Jail & Detention Center

On-site video visits

Tuesdays and Wednesdays

6:30 p.m. to 8:55 p.m.

Remote visits are conducted daily during the following times

General population “at-home” remote visitation

7:00 a.m. to 10:25 a.m.

1:00 p.m. to 3:55 p.m.

6:30 p.m. to 9:55 p.m.

High Security off-site remote visitation

7:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

1:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.

6:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.

Inmates are allowed on visit per day, whether on-site or off-site.



Larimer County Jail & Detention Center Visitation Dress Code

The Larimer County Jail & Detention Center expects off-site remote visitors to comply with the same dress code as the on-site visitors must comply with. Remember, the visits are recorded and monitored.

The best way to be sure the visit takes place is to dress as if you are meeting someone's grandmother for the first time. 

Wear clothes that are not revealing.

Don't wear see-through material.

Have all undergarments covered (males and females) and avoid a lot of cleavage.

Shorts and skirts should reach mid-thigh.

Sleeves should be at least half-way to your elbow.

The following types of clothing are also prohibited:

Clothing promoting gang affiliation.

Anything displaying drugs, weapons or profanity.

Clothing depicting anything obscene.

Larimer County Jail & Detention Center Visitation Tips, Rules and Guidelines

Jail visits are conducted on a televised screen from another location.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and guardians must provide proof of their guardianship for on-site visits.

Children five-years-old and under must sit on the visitor’s lap for the entire on-site visitation.

Leave all personal belongings, except for your state ID in your vehicle or in a locker (if one is provided).

Children must be monitored at all times or jail staff will end the visit early.

'At Home' Video Visitation

This jail does provide off-site, “at-home” visits. You must register an account and schedule the visit.

This means you can purchase visitation that is conducted on your laptop, desktop computer or other mobile device from home or elsewhere.

While you may be able to schedule a visitation with most devices, you must use a Windows based laptop or desktop computer (PC with operating system more recent than Windows XP) with Google Chrome web browser to conduct an off-site visitation from home.  You must also have a Logitech or Microsoft webcam.

You must sign into the system 15 minutes prior to your scheduled visit.

Have your government-issued, valid photo ID ready as you have to show it to the facility representative online before you can be connected to visit your inmate.
