What can I do to appeal if my inmate visits are suspended?

Most jails have zero tolerance when it comes to allowing future visits if you violate their rules. Some states have temporary suspensions, usually ranging from 90-180 days, depending upon which rules were violated and how many times they were broken.

If you want to appeal the suspension, you are encouraged to write a letter to the prison warden or the jail commander, or in some states you are required to fill out and mail in a visiting suspension revoction appeal form.
