I was told by the Ascension Parish D. A.'s Office in Donaldsonville, La. that I would be notified of any action taken in the behalf of a prisoner in their custody. I was told I'd recieve papers to fill to coincide with the police dept's reports. They've never been sent to us, I've had no luck reaching "Shawna", the person who assured me she'd take care of this. She's part of "victims Services". The det who was supposed to be on this that he has no more info on this. The last thing he said to me was that he had a line on where our property was, now nothing. That was two months ago.Now I've found that she's being transported in a few hours to face charges in Jennings, La.(Gueydon, La.)??? What about the $thousands of dollars property taken from us????!!! We have eye witnesses that the Gonzales cops say aren't viable, this includes a neighbor, the elementary school secretary that saw this woman and her two kids get into the truckfull of our property! The least of this is the fact that she stole my checks, my ID, my credit card, tried to use my 54yr oldv id to cash my check with her signature, not mine. She's 26. My bank teller turned her down, reported her, I put a stop payment on these 5 checks. She still cashed them in Gueydon, La. Everyone is willing to testify on all these counts yet, nothing is happening and I'm told the bondsman is going to put her on a payment plan to bond her out! No mention of the thousands worth of electronics, etc. stolen from my daughter and little grand daughters after we took them in when their family would have nothing to do with them. Her newborn is in a foster home with injuries, I'm told. Her older two are safe now, I'm told. They were with her relatives since her incarceration this time where, I'm told the relative "couldn't deal with them anymore". Why has this woman been able to get way with these same things for more than 12 yrs?! She has a record from 1998 in Jefferson Parish, Orleans Parish,Jennings, La.Etc. Also in at least one county in Miss.!She runs every time and has gotten away with it for so many years she no longer worries. When does it stop?
