If a loved one was denied visitation due to being a part of a past violation can they still write and receive letters and phone calls from and to the inmate and how do I appeal the denial? Please help.

Martinez - You can email an inmate trough corrlinks.com. You need to set up a profile and add 'credit' to the account. It costs 25cent per email you send and you can use up to something like 40,000 letters. I write LONG emails and I've never ran out of space. I know in a couple of months the inmates are going to be able to email back, but it won't happen this year, maybe early next year sometime. But it will mean you get the emails same day, so it's quicker than waiting. And I'm not too sure who pays that, you or the inmate from their books. Hope this helps!

I had a company called the History Channel mail a calendar to my son who is at the Ft. Dodge Correctional Facility. It was mailed there on 11/16/2011 and he never received it. It cost $25. What am I supposed to do about it? My son's name is Kris Robertson and his # is 1124421.

corrlinks.com to email prisoners. Sign up, put your name on their list, you must know their inmate number to do this however and it will show up on their end and they will email you eventually, if not put in the 10.00 or 15.00 from your account and you can then email them if they don't email you first. YOU must sign up for an account there however. Good luck! And YES it does work. I do it.

I use Corlink and it works well. It is cheaper than a stamp and it is nice o get an email notice "you got mail" It cost a quarter to send the email nothing to receive and read it.
