  • An inmate, when first arrested is allowed a brief 20 minute NON-CONTACT visit that does NOT count against their regular visit.
  • Each inmate is allowed two on-hour CONTACT visits each week.
  • CONTACT visits are Sundays and Thursdays only.
  • Only one closed mouth kiss is allowed. No other touching. If you do, visit is over.
  • NON-CONTACT (Booth) visits are conducted every day except regular holidays that the Dutchess County follows.
  • Not everyone can have a CONTACT visit.
  • SHOW UP 30 MINUTES EARLY TO CHECK IN OR NO VISIT.
  • Every visitor must pass through a metal detector. If you set it off, unless you have a doctor's note stating why, you won't get to visit, so be aware you are wearing NO metal.
  • Lockers are available but are not locked.
  • Only IDs accepted are NY Driver's license )or photo ID), NY State benefit card, or passport.
  • Visitors will have to come in to schedule a visit.  Visitors cannot sign up or reserve a visit via phone.
  • Only twelve (12) incarcerated individuals are allowed in the visit room per session.
  • Each incarcerated individual will be allowed two (2) visitors. All visitors under eighteen (18) must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.  (i.e., two (2) adults or one (1) adult and one (1) minor visitor) Adults must show proof of guardianship. (i.e., birth certificate.)
