About the Warren County Correctional Facility

Completed in 2004, the new Warren County Correctional Facility is also known as the Warren County Correctional Facility and is located within the new Public Safety Building. This building houses not only the Warren County Correctional Facility but also the Sheriff’s Office, who holds the responsibility for the management and care of the correctional facility as well as the inmates within. 

Inmates are offenders arrested in Warren County that have recently been arrested for a felony or misdemeanor, are awaiting trial, or have been found guilty for their crime(s) and have been sentenced to one year or less.

The 184 beds house inmates who are assigned to the location by the City Court, Local Justice Court, the Superior Courts, and also the Federal Courts. For information on an inmate who is incarcerated the VINE program is updated constantly and can be checked by calling 518-743-2500 or online.

Bail can be paid directly at the lobby in cash or credit card, while funds may be deposited to an inmate's account online.

There are three types of housing in the building, linear with single occupancy cells for higher security offenders, dormitory where several bunk beds are in one open are with bathrooms and tables for eating in the common space for minimum security offenders, and pod housing where the majority of offenders will reside.

Inmates will be provided with all of their basic needs including healthy meals, clean laundry, medical care by licensed professionals, mental health care and counseling, recreation activities and spaces, and contact with their support system who are outside of detention.

Phones are available for inmates to make outgoing calls during the free daytime hours only and there is no access to incoming calls from others outside of incarceration.

Visits are provided to all inmates depending upon their housing unit, with A Pod Saturday 1pm, Sunday 8pm, B Pod Saturday 9:30am, Sunday 5:30pm, C Pod Saturday 5:30pm, Sunday 9:30am, D Pod Saturday 8pm, Sunday 1pm, Dorms Saturday 9:30am, Sunday 5:30pm, and Linear Saturday 9:30am, Sunday 5:30pm.
