  3. Ms. Sis Wed, Aug 31 2011 6:13 PM

Mrs. Marsh... Learn how to use words correctly.#1 Your spelling is awful ! # 2 - In the correctional facility there really is no way for every corrections officer to make sure an inmate dosen't have a fight with another inmate, so how are you going to "sue" Darby Police? If your brother had something to do with the Flash Mob and he's in the county jail, obviously he did something wrong.

  10. Melissa Sun, Nov 13 2011 8:00 AM

Help is needed, and no where else to turn..I have a question for you, my sister Marie was picked up due to a probation violation in Darby Twp. which never came to pass, but the PO at the time was not aware..let's hope? No Affidavits have been found for an arrest warrant, not even in either Sheriff's Offices, and she now in the Delaware County Prison..there are no charges to be found by a Public Defender-in either Counties, and she's been held between Northumberland County,Pa. and Delco for a month with no gag hearing. Marie has received no mail that was sent to her either..My Mom is distraught, and she's been up to see Marie twice now w/o ever seeing her..She's on the gate list, gets checked, and then told she's not on the list after security does their pat down...at which time my Mother talked to head of security, and they didn't remove her name, but the counselor did..and Marie has put in a grievous because she had my mom, her brother, her son, and 2 other people on the list, but they haven't let family see her. Who can my Mom talk to about this at the prison..or ect. Marie's waited in the holding cell twice now, for nothing, Sunday Nov. 6th last week, and yesterday, Nov. 12th. Since they had the hanging out there a few days ago, my Mom, who just had a heart attack last year and isn't well, and doesn't need another. Please get back to me. My sister has been in limbo for an excessive amount of time, and has not received any of her Medication, ie. inhaler and breathing treatments, O2- for COPD and sleep apnea, nor her depression meds, and sleeps on the prison floor because the cells are full. We need help.

my boyfriends in there and says he's starving, he needs money on his books so he can eat !? how do I do this ?

  13. lost23lbsin6mos@gwh Fri, Dec 09 2011 11:13 AM

There is a $100 processing fee EVERYONE has to pay. Half of any money you send your loved one will go towards paying that fee. Trust me when I tell you they are STARVING in there. The food is awful (Grade F meat) and the portions are tiny anyway. To put money on the books send a money order with their name and inmate number on it. Mail it or bring it with you during visits. DO NOT BRING CASH OR PERSONAL CHECKS. They will not accept these ONLY MONEY ORDERS. Hope this helps.

  14. lost23lbsin6mos@gwh Fri, Dec 09 2011 11:19 AM

Can an inmate use money in their account to post bail? I am trying to help someone whose family no longer lives in PA. Their son has been arrested and a few friends and family in the area, including myself, collected enough money for bail. If I go up to jail to bail him out, I don't want to be responsible for the remaining money or if he skips out. His mom told me I can go to jail and put the money in his account and he can use that to get out. Is that true? I don't want to ride all the way up to the jail and find out this cannot be done or I will still be responsible. I have been searching some sites but can't find any info about this. I called the jail a few times but do not get an answer. I have no experience with this kind of thing but I want to help if I can. Any info would be greatly appreciated

I know that Alcoholism is a disease. My son sober is so quiet, honest, intellegent....BUT as soon as he drinks, he' turns into a dishonest, loud, criminal, he knows this and cant stop drinking. Is there a rehabilitaion program for TRUE Alcoholics, Its not a defense, he must pay for what he did. I just want to know if he can get help in prison. of course, he lost everything due to drinking, I believe 75% of inmates did thier crime in a drug or alcohol blackout. Something they would never do clean or sober

Two day I called many time hardley one person pickup and was so rude don't even say nothing hang up on me . I am trying to find out how I am gonna send my brother some I try offinder connect .com but they just took my money . Any one have idea about sending money to inmate

  32. Caitlin Gilbert Fri, Oct 19 2012 12:57 PM

Gul you have to write a money order. They do not accept checks or cash. You write the money order to the inmate with their full name and inmate number. I wrote the inmate number in the memo box and it went into his account. Save the receipt for the money order, there is a way to cancel it if it doesn't get to them for one reason or another. As the girl said earlier if you can send at least 200 because they need $100 to pay off the fee. Get that out of the way if you can. Otherwise half of what you send will keep going towards the hundred till it's paid off, so I just got it out of the way right away. After that, all money goes to them. It's also a good idea to send it with a tracking number and just wave the signature confirmation so you can tell them you know it got there. They also have machines you can put money in their commisary account with at the prison. It's a kiosk. But they won't be eligible for visitation until they've met with a counselor and assigned a block and gotten their visitor list taken care of,it usually takes at least two weeks to see a counselor because of the overcrowded conditions from everyone I've talked to with experience ther. My boyfriends been there 10 days and is still in general population. I'm counting the days till I can see him, I miss him so much. Hope this was helpful. Once the money is in the commisary they order the items by phone now (my coworker told me) and they can also put the same code in they use on the phone to order items (food, socks, underwear, etcetera)to make telephone calls without it being collect. Just tell them they have to dial the commisary code before making the phone call. This is what the lady in charge of commisary accounts told me. You can call the main number and if and when they answer (they don't a lot) ask to speak to be connected to inmate accounts. You can leave a message if she's not there. She answered the second time I tried and did return the phone call when I left her a message and is surprisingly nice and helpful (idk it may not always be the same person) but they can tell you if there's money in your inmates account or not. Sorry for being so long winded lol

I have been denied visitation to an inmate several times. Even though I am on the visitors visit the guards come up with an excuse for not letting me in. The last time was because he was moved to the medical unit and was told he felt safer there. Anyone have any similar experience or understand the rules of visiting. It seems to be at the discretion of the officer on duty.

  38. Heather Marie, Mother of 6mo Jayla Mon, Feb 11 2013 12:24 PM

My fiancé just got arrested in Yeadon on Saturday night, Sunday morning he was moved to this facility. His bail was set at 20,000, so I have to pay 10%, or $2,000 to make his bail. That's what I was told when I called. He is an adult and he knew what the consequences were when he got caught, so the only thing I can do is wait for income tax, which is due to be late this year, and try to get him out. He was in my car when he got popped, which put my car in Seiples Auto Collision. These people never pick up their phone. I hate this system. I love you, Jonathan Caceres, and I'm doing everything I can do to get you out. Stay strong, it'll be over soon.

I think the guards and all other employees of the prison should be screened for just being related to anybody incarcerated. Stuff gets sneaked in on a who knows who basis and the people that really need their meds are not getting them.

My husband got locked up last Saturday he posted bail on Tuesday but they gave him a detainer, he saw the judge and posted another bail on Friday, it is now Sunday and he still isn't out. I pissed and worried, what can be the problem now.
