Inmates in the Glossbrenner can purchase commissary items using money in their Trust Fund account. Depending on the size of the facility, inmates have access to up 700 different iems, including snacks, nutritional supplements, personal hygiene, educational supplies, entertainment and clothing. Food items also include kosher products to meet certain religious guidelines and requirements.
In addition, the TDCJ Commissary and Trust Fund Department has an online program, eCommDirect, where friends and family can purchase items for inmates. There are up to 100 different commissary products that can be purchased.
