St. Clair County Jail – Pell City is located at 1805 1st Avenue North, Pell City, AL 35120. It has a capacity of 323 inmates, but could handle up to 400 inmates if necessary.
The jail offers state-of-the-art systems and features, replacing an older facility located directly behind the county courthouse. It was built using existing court cost measures instead of new tax measures and is designed to accommodate the county's growth.
Inmates are allowed two 45-minute onsite video visits each week, which must be scheduled in advance between 8:15 am to 4 pm Tuesday through Sunday. Visitation is also available on Saturday and Sunday with special arrangements made by calling the jail Monday-Friday 8am to 8pm.
All visitors must sign in at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled visits, and all visits are non-contact and conducted through a glass partition. Inmates are allowed two visitors per day, with the public being able to visit no more than one time per week. Violation of visitation restrictions may cause the visit to be cancelled or terminated, and visiting privileges may be suspended by the St. Clair Sheriff's Office.
