Visitation is currently suspended due to COVID-19, but when it resumes, visitors must follow the rules and dress code outlined by the facility. Video visitation kiosks are available in each of the Herbert Hughes facilities and the address is 328 Applestill Road El Centro, CA 92243. The Herbert Hughes Correctional Center in Imperial County, California is a 324-bed capacity facility that has been operational since 1981 and hosts inmates from all of the county. Inmates are given access to various services such as medical care, religious services, and educational programs. The grand jury inquires into the condition and management of the public prisons within the county, including inquiring into willful or negligent acts by prison staff. The County of Riverside also houses sentenced inmates at the Herbert Hughes Correctional Center and Regional Adult Detention Facility (RADF). Imperial County - Herbert Hughes Correctional Center in California is a minimum security facility with dormitory housing for low level risk prisoners. It was built in the early 1960s and named after Sheriff Herbert Hughes who served from 1955-1966. Prepaid calls (Direct Calls)
With Prepaid Calls you can set up your account so that the inmate can only call you and/or you can just deposit money in their account and they can purchase prepaid phone cards through their commissary and call whoever they choose, provided the Imperial County - Herbert Hughes Correctional Center approves of the phone number.
