Visitation available dates and times are determined by the first letter of the inmate’s last name as follows:

2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Each inmate is allowed 2 one- hour visiting sessions per week.

Video visits allow the visit to take place in the privacy of your own home. Some family members 'take their inmate with them' to church, the park, the doctor or anywhere else simply by signing in and bringing the device along.

Who Can Visit an Inmate in Suffolk County Jail - Minimum Security Facility
Anyone over the age of 18, who isn't on felony probation and can produce a valid government-issued photo ID can be approved to visit an inmate in this jail.
Your ID will be run for active warrants and current probation/parole status. If active warrants are discovered, you will be arrested. If it is discovered you are on felony probation/parole, you will be denied the visit.
This jail restricts the number of visitors to two adults and two minors or one adult and three minors at each visit.
Up to six people total can attend a visit if the parties are willing to split the hour so that the inmate actually only visits two adults and two children at a time for each portion of the hour.
Children under age 18 must be accompanied by the parent or legal guardian and a valid birth certificate must be presented for each child.

The Suffolk County Jail - Minimum Security Facility staff will turn anyone away who is not dressed appropriately for a visit.
The best way to be sure the visit takes place is to dress as if you are meeting someone's grandmother for the first time.
Staff strongly suggests you do not wear clothing that contains excessive numbers of zippers, wire or other metal as you might not make it through the metal detector.
They also suggest you wear socks because you will be required to take your shoes off when processed for the visit.
Wear clothes that are not revealing.
Don't wear see-through material.
Have all undergarments covered (males and females) and avoid a lot of cleavage.
Shorts and skirts should reach mid-thigh.
Sleeves should be at least half-way to your elbow.
The following types of clothing are also prohibited:
Clothing promoting gang affiliation.
Anything displaying drugs, weapons or profanity.
Clothing depicting anything obscene.

Jail visits are conducted in person.
If you cannot pass the metal detector or decline to leave a prohibited item behind, at staff discretion, you might be offered a visit that is behind plexi-glass.
Remember to bring valid birth certificates for each visiting child. There will be no exceptions.
Leave all personal belongings, except for your state ID in your vehicle or in the provided locker. You will need to bring your own lock.
Children must be monitored at all times or jail staff will end the visit early.
