Cimarron County Jail & Sheriff Visitation Schedule and Announcement - January 4, 2023

Inmates at the Cimarron County Jail & Sheriff, now that the COVID pandemic is waning, once again allows inmates to get visits from friends and loved ones. Visits are either on-site (no contact) at the facility, and/or using the video services of the third party company outlined below.

Call 580-544-2020 for inmate communication updates as schedules can change without much advance notice.

Cimarron County Jail & Sheriff inmates are allowed one to two visits of 30 minutes each at the facility, and potentially no limit on the number of visits when using the home based video visitation service.

Rules, guidelines and schedules are listed on this page. Failure to adhere to them will result in your inmate and you losing your visitation privileges.

INMATE VISITATION

Visitation times are Mondays thru Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and by appointment only, with a limit of 20 minutes per person.

Valid Identification is required to visit inmates.

Person(s) traveling extreme distances may make requests for visitation outside of standard visitation hours to accommodate.

IMPORTANT - All remote visitation at the Cimarron County Jail & Sheriff is conducted by City Tele Coin video.

You can visit your inmate at the jail, or from your own device or computer at home.

The Cimarron County Sheriff's Office provides a video kiosk in the lobby of the Sheriff's Office free of charge.

Visitation is limited to 10 minutes per visitor per day. Visitors must call ahead and follow ALL visitation guidelines.

  • Carefully fill out the application. Incomplete paperwork is cause for denial.

Who can Visit an Inmate at the Cimarron County Jail & Sheriff?

  • Anyone over the age of 18, who isn't on felony probation and can produce a valid government-issued photo ID can be approved to visit an inmate in Cimarron County Jail & Sheriff.
  • Visitation applicants in in Cimarron County must sometimes submit to a background check. Those with warrants are denied visitation or if allowed to visit, will be arrested at the jail.
  • Children under age 18 must be accompanied by the parent or legal guardian.

Cimarron County Jail & Sheriff Visitation Dress Code

The Cimarron County Jail & Sheriff staff will turn anyone away who is not dressed appropriately for a visit.

  • Remote Visits are monitored by the jail.
  • If you are dressed inappropriately your visit will be shut off.
  • The best way to be sure the visit takes place is to dress as if you are meeting someone's grandmother for the first time. 

General Clothing Do's & Don'ts for Remote Visitation
* Wear clothes that are not revealing.
* Don't wear see-through material.
* Have all undergarments covered (males and females) and avoid a lot of cleavage.
* Shorts and skirts should reach mid-thigh.
* Sleeves should be at least half-way to your elbow.
* The following types of clothing are also prohibited:
* Clothing promoting gang affiliation.
* Anything displaying drugs, weapons or profanity.
* Clothing depicting anything obscene.

Visitation Tips and Guidelines

All Cimarron County Jail & Sheriff visits are conducted in person behind plexi-glass or on a televised screen from another location using Remote Video Visitation.
