About the Harper County Jail & Sheriff
Harper County Jail and Sheriff Office are located in Buffallo, Harper County, Oklahoma. With only 11 beds at maximum capacity, the small holding facility is used for all of the new detainees upon their arrest. It is run by the local sheriff and their staff, and is where any adult who is arrested, and in some cases juveniles, are taken to be booked and processed. Juveniles are transferred to the local juvenile facility while adults remain in the facility until they are released on bail, have been found not guilty or charges have been dropped, or they have served a short sentence. Many short sentences in the facility are those that are 90 days or less, and rarely are longer sentences served in this building. Those who receive a long sentence or require maximum security facilities are transferred to a larger facility close by. The inmate listing that is run by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections and is regularly updated with listings of who is located at what facility. This system allows family and friends to find their loved ones after they have been arrested. Outgoing calls are permitted both to attorneys to plan a legal defense as well as to family or friends. Visitors may plan a visit on Saturday or Sunday only and will be after 9am but before 3pm.

The Harper County Sheriff's Office provides a video kiosk in the lobby of the Sheriff's Office free of charge.

Visitation is limited to 10 minutes per visitor per day. Visitors must call ahead and follow ALL visitation guidelines.
