Understanding the booking process at McClain County Jail
After an arrest, individuals are taken to McClain County Jail where they go through booking. This process includes identifying the person, reviewing charges, and determining whether they will be released on their own, eligible for bail, or detained until their court date.
It’s crucial to remain silent after being arrested. Anything said may be used in court, so it’s better to refrain from speaking until consulting with an attorney.

- Personal identification verification.
- Taking photographs (mugshots).
- Medical and mental health assessment, as well as inquiries about substance use.
- Possibly collecting DNA samples.
- Performing a full-body search.

- Allowing one phone call.
Booking can take from a short hour to longer periods, especially on busy nights or with uncooperative individuals. For inquiries about posting bond for an arrestee, call the facility at 405-527-1961.

There are three choices for putting money on an inmate's books:
Choice 1 - Dropping Money at the Jail
Ask the jail whether it takes deposits in person before you go.
Call McClain County Jail to ask whether it has a Tiger kiosk for cash or card deposits, and where it is.

If you can't get your questions answered online call the McClain County Jail at 405-527-1961.
Choice 2 - Deposit Inmate Money Online
Tiger Commissary's online site lists the services set up for each jail, such as commissary orders or deposits.
Go to Tiger's online site, pick the state and the jail, and see which services it offers there.
Choice 3 - Mail the Inmate Deposit to the Jail
Mailing a deposit takes more time to process than the other methods but can be done if you live too far away to bring it in person and you don't have a debit/credit card for online deposits. Never send cash. Always send a Money Order from the US Post Office, a reputable bank or Western Union.
Call McClain County Jail at 405-527-1961 to confirm the address to send the money order to and how they want it made out.
Failure to do this properly will delay your inmate getting his account credited and may require you to have to resubmit a second money order.
