Chester County Youth Center

The Youth Center in Chester County houses several programs including electronic home monitoring, nonsecure shelter for those in need, respite care, and secure detention. There are 12 secure beds available for female youth between 10 and 21 years of age, and 36 for male juveniles between 10 and 21. Within the facility the focus is on safety and security, and the space is available for all the youth who require detention as they wait for their court date or a detention hearing to determine if they will be released until their trial or if they will remain in detention until then. It operates around the year and is open 24 hours a day to offer services to the residents. Services include case management, classroom instruction, counseling, drug and alcohol assessment, family visits, recreation, medical and dental care, psychological and psychiatric services. Working together these services encourage life and social skills, improve education access, provide for all basic needs, and teach responsibility and accountability. Mail: 505 S. Wawaset Rd.
