About the Bradley County Jail

Bradley County doesn’t run its own jail. The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, under Sheriff Herschel Tillman, arrests and processes people in Warren and across the county, then takes them to jails in surrounding counties that hold Bradley County prisoners. In November 2025, voters turned down two sales-tax measures that would have paid for a new jail and sheriff’s complex near Warren, so that arrangement continues.

Because the person may be in any of several nearby jails, start by calling the sheriff’s office at (870) 226-3491. The office is at 101 East Cedar Street in Warren. Ask which facility is holding the person and what their booking number is. You can also search VINELink at vinelink.vineapps.com, which covers Arkansas county jails. Once you know the jail, that facility’s own rules for visits, mail, phone calls and deposits apply, so call it directly before you send anything or drive over. If the arrest was made by Warren police, the Warren Police Department can be reached at (870) 226-3703.

Even though the person is housed out of county, the case stays in Bradley County courts. Arkansas Rule of Criminal Procedure 8.1 requires a first appearance before a judge without unnecessary delay, generally within 48 hours of arrest. Everyone is bailable before conviction except in capital cases where the proof is evident or the presumption great (Arkansas Constitution, Art. 2, §8). Under Rules 9.1 and 9.2, judges consider release on recognizance or with conditions before setting money bail. Call the sheriff’s office to learn the bond amount and where it can be posted. A bail bondsman’s fee is 10% of the bond, rounded up to the nearest $5 and paid in full before release, plus small nonrefundable state fees (Arkansas Code §17-19-301).
