About the Fremont County Detention Center

With 240 beds, the Fremont County Detention Center houses inmates from Fremont County from all law enforcement including federal, state, and local. Each of the inmates are facing felony or misdemeanor charges and they will remain at this location until their trial or as they serve a sentence.

Status updates on inmates are provided both online and by phone at 719-276-5555.

Medical care is available around the clock, laundry is completed regularly, food services provide healthy meals, educational programs operate every weekday, and substance abuse treatments including those with medication assisted treatments are provided for all inmates who need it.

Linear housing is used, with inmates having their own cells or sharing with just one other, and they have access to recreational time, exercise areas, phones, mail, and are able to have visits with those on their approved visiting list.

All mail is sent to a third party location where it will be opened, checked for contraband, scanned, and delivered digitally to the inmate via tablet or kiosk.
