Finding someone in the Glynn County Detention Center in Brunswick

This page is for finding someone arrested in Glynn County, Brunswick and the islands included. The sheriff runs the Glynn County Detention Center, 100 Sulphur Springs Road, Brunswick, GA 31520, which his office says can house 600 inmates. Detention officers there number about 100, according to the county's biography of the sheriff.

Then call the detention center at 912-554-7590 and ask whether the person is in custody and if a bond has been set. Administrative questions go to the sheriff's main office, 912-554-7600, on weekdays. Our Glynn County bail guide covers release, and the Glynn County court guide covers hearings.

The sheriff publishes a Population With All Charges Report, an alphabetical list of everyone held at the detention center that is refreshed daily. For each person it gives name, age, race and gender, the booking date, the number of days jailed, active and inactive charges and the degree of each charge. Our Glynn County Inmate Search links to it. A booking from the last few hours may not show yet, so phone 912-554-7590 and give the person's legal name and date of birth. 8. How do I add money to a Glynn County inmate's account?

There are three routes. A kiosk in the visitation lobby at the detention center is open 24 hours a day and takes cash, credit and debit cards, showing the usage fee before the deposit. For online deposits, the jail uses its commissary contractor McDaniel Supply Company at jailpackstore.com; you need the inmate's full name, the facility name and the inmate's ID number, and Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted but prepaid cards are not. McDaniel's help line is 800-822-9388. Mailed deposits must be a money order or a certified check alone, with the inmate's name and ID in the memo, in a pre-stamped envelope to 100 Sulphur Springs Rd., Brunswick, GA 31520. Our sending money guide adds context.

Personal letters, cards and photographs do not go to Brunswick. Leave out any of those lines, the postage, or a legible return address that names the sender in full, and the letter goes unscanned. Legal mail, money orders, and books or magazines shipped straight from a retailer such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Books-A-Million go to 100 Sulphur Springs Rd., Brunswick, GA 31520 instead; mail questions go to 912-554-7590.
