Search for an Inmate or Active Arrest Warrant in Clinton County

1. Where are inmates held?

The Clinton County Jail in Albany holds adults arrested anywhere in the county. Call 606-387-4395 for help locating someone. When a recent booking is missing from the roster, ask the sheriff at 606-387-5111. Because it is classed as a life safety jail, the Albany lockup cannot take state inmates, according to the state auditor's 2019 regional jail bulletin, and Corrections does not track its population. Clinton County's estimated population fell from 9,252 at the 2020 base to 9,139 in 2025, Census figures show.
