Where does Martin County send its inmates?

They go to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, 904 Third Street, Paintsville, KY 41240, 606-297-5245. Martin operates no jail, so deputies make the drive from Inez to Paintsville after each arrest. Big Sandy also takes in people from Johnson, Lawrence and Magoffin, so tell staff the person came from Martin and give a birthday. The sheriff's office at 606-298-2828 can confirm an arrest.
