Morehouse Parish Inmate Search, Bastrop

Morehouse Parish has no public online inmate roster and no mugshot gallery, so searching for someone in custody takes a phone call: the parish jail at 250 East Walnut Avenue, Bastrop, LA 71220, 318-281-9336, or the Morehouse Parish Detention Center near Collinston, 318-874-7855. Below: what to ask, mugshot requests, bond, the 4th Judicial District, Marshals and ICE detainers, and police in Bastrop, Mer Rouge, Bonita, Collinston and Oak Ridge.

1. Which jail numbers serve Morehouse Parish?

3. Where do Morehouse mugshots come from?

Morehouse doesn't post mugshots online; request one from the sheriff at 318-281-4141. Since August 1, 2024, Act 281 has let sheriffs release booking photos pretrial. If a photo appears on a pay-to-remove site, the site must take it down free within 7 days once the case is dropped or the person is acquitted, pardoned or expunged. Immigration photos are requested through ICE's FOIA office, and federal ones from the U.S. Marshals.

5. Could it have been only a ticket?

↑ Back to the question list

6. How soon does a Morehouse judge see the person?

Inside 72 hours, with weekends and holidays left out, under Article 230.1. A 4th district judge in Bastrop decides bail and whether to appoint a lawyer, and Bastrop must release the person on recognizance if that deadline passes.

↑ Back to the question list

7. Who sets Morehouse bond?

13. Is there a Morehouse warrant?

Call the sheriff at 318-281-4141 or Bastrop police at 318-281-1322. A 4th district warrant names its court, while Bastrop city court handles many minor ones. Ask whether bond is preset, so the family can bring it to booking at Morehouse Parish Detention Center on East Walnut Avenue. The Bastrop sheriff shares no names on the web, and Louisiana's courts have no shared public lookup. A defense lawyer at your loved one's side helps.
