The Emmet County Correctional Facility is the detention center for all offenders and inmates who are being held for trial or sentenced within Emmet County or both felony and misdemeanor charges. Both male and female inmates are at this location, with juveniles having another location for their own security.
The facility has a capacity of 103 beds and provides services around the clock every day of the year, with a staff that monitors inmates at all times to ensure their safety and the security of the location, while also protecting the safety of the community.
Inmates may have to pay a Housing Fee for the time they are in jail. Payments can be made online.
New, prepackaged white underwear, t-shirts, socks, sports bras and thermal underwear must be ordered and mailed directly only from Amazon or Walmart, or through inmate commissary.
