It provides a lobby with large windows and an accessible ramp out front, and the recreation yard is in a fenced area to the side and rear of the building, ample parking is available for all visitors.
Located right next to the Courthouse, it is at the Gladwin County Jail that all offenders, both misdemeanor and felony, are housed as they wait for their trial. Jail staff are responsible for the care and control of the inmates, the safety of the community as they manage security of the facility, and transportation of inmates to and from court dates and other required appointments.
