There are 6 housing units that each have two floors of cells and surround a common area or dayroom, and each also has an outdoor area. Eating meals, socializing, and writing or reading for recreation are all done in the dayrooms.
All visits are on video and can be scheduled and engaged with online and those without access at home may use the second floor visiting area in the Law Enforcement Center lobby.

Any magazines that contain profanity, weapons, pornography or other content that is adult in nature will be confiscated by the jail staff and will NOT be delivered to the inmate.

The Goodhue County Adult Detention Center allows books to be mailed directly to the jail from a reputable source such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Books-A-Million. You can order them directly from your computer and have them shipped to the inmate at the address noted.
