As the largest division of the Tompkins County Sheriff's Department, the jail maintains a staff of 40. There are several services available for this 90-bed facility including all meals, mental health care, medical care, dental repairs, probation services, transition services, wellness recovery, a college program, OSHA training and a garden program that allows inmates to grow a garden that supplies food to the facility. With a focus on cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and security, each officer is highly trained and continues to receive training on an ongoing basis.
