A new courthouse was built in 2022 - There are 14 holding cells in the basement which can hold multiple people if necessary. The inmates have their own separate elevators to the second and third floors where the courtrooms are located. Judges have their own elevator and parking in the basement of the building. State of the art video monitoring was installed. All visitations are recorded. There is an app available with all relevant information about current inmates via the Lincoln County Sheriffs Department. No bags or purses permitted during visitations.

The Lincoln County Detention Center allows books to be mailed directly to the jail from a reputable source such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Books-A-Million. You can order them directly from your computer and have them shipped to the inmate at the address noted.
