Tuscarawas Juvenile Attention Center
Completed in 2014, this 24 bed facility houses female youth offenders who are under the age of 19 and have been sentenced or are waiting for their trial in the county of Tuscarawas. Using the Responsible Behavior Program to encourage positive and healthy choices, positive social interactions, and following the rules, juveniles can earn additional privileges during their stay. Through the use of the local public school curriculum and licensed teachers through the New Philadelphia School System many of the students who are residing in the attention center will find that their grades improve over their past experiences. Church services are offered once each week and they may attend at their own decision, and other opportunities are presented to craft, to hear other speakers from the community, and to maintain their interest in other activities. A full kitchen staff provides healthy meals every day, and there is a registered nurse on site to care for all of the students.

Phones: Phone calls are a privilege that are earned through the Responsible Behavior Program and will be assigned to one day each week that the youth are not busy with other tasks or classes.
Visitation: Parents and guardians are encouraged to visit every week, and additional visits may be earned through the Responsible Behavior program, however only parents and guardians are permitted to visit and they must be approved and scheduled in advance.

• Visitors who 'arrive' after the scheduled start time may not be allowed to visit.
• Clothing must cover all private/sensitive body areas.
• The visitation schedule may be canceled or altered on holidays or for safety/security reasons.

• Internet connectivity issues during offsite visits will NOT be refunded.
