About the Comanche County Detention Center
The Comanche County Jail was closed, and the Comanche County Detention Center was opened in September of 2003. It is an updated building that has improved technology and tools for maintaining the health and safety of all inmates, officers, and the community. Inmates that end up housed at this facility are from the surrounding area as well as the state and federal law enforcement agencies. To improve reintegration and to reduce recidivism, there are several programs in place that the inmates can take part in. This includes work on addictions that may be present, substance abuse, counseling, and other programs. To maintain the facility and the safety of everyone who is in the space, there is extensive training for all staff and officers. A Correctional Emergency Response Team is trained and present to respond to any emergencies or incidents that may occur within the facility. Visitation is available, as well as mail and outgoing phone calls to help inmates to remain in contact with their support systems outside the jail. To schedule visits, create an online account at prodigysales.com/Account and book visits during the approved hours and follow the required guidelines. If you need assistance you can call 1-866-700-4545 ext. 7.
