Inmates are offenders arrested in Hamblen County that have recently been arrested for a felony or misdemeanor, are awaiting trial, or have been found guilty for their crime(s) and have been sentenced to one year or less.
At the current location, operations will continue as normal, and they can be contacted at 423-586-3781, while inmates may be looked up to determine their location and bail information online.
Detention officers are onsite and on duty around the clock, ensuring not only the security of the building but also of the safety of the residents, the staff, and the community.
There are services that are legally mandated and provided at all locations, including healthy meals three times a day, clean laundry, access to recreational space and activities, medical care that is provided onsite and there is transportation for any serious illness or injury to hospitals for care, mental health care and counseling are provided, and there are opportunities for educational advancement as well.

The inmate phone service does not allow for incoming calls; however, inmates have access to phones to make outgoing calls every day.

Any magazines that contain profanity, weapons, pornography or other content that is adult in nature will be confiscated by the jail staff and will NOT be delivered to the inmate.
