Operated by the sheriff’s office, it houses people who are waiting for their bail to be paid or who are waiting for their trial to begin. Short sentences may be served at this location but those who require maximum security or who are serving extended sentences will find they are transferred to a larger facility that has increased access to programming. These phone calls are a key part of the rehabilitation for inmates as it maintains their connection to those who are not incarcerated and who will be their support system after they are released. To visit an inmate, the visit must be scheduled with the facility at least one full day in advance and will occur after 8:15am but before 4pm on Tuesday through Sunday.
