About the Oak Harbor Jail
The city of Oak Harbour is located in Island County and the jail is a small holding facility used by the local police department. It houses inmates for a short period of time and allows offenders to be booked at any time of day or night. Any offenders who are requiring maximum security or who are faced with long sentences will be transferred to the Island County Jail for the remainder of their sentence. While incarcerated at the Oak Harbour Jail inmates will be permitted to both send and receive mail that fits the rules set out and contain no contraband, will be able to make phone calls to approved friends and family members but are not permitted to have contact with inmates at other facilities or anyone who has been recently released from any facility, as well as receive visits.
