The sheriff's office launched a new website, barbourcountysheriff.org, on September 25, 2026, and said more features are on the way, Wiregrass Daily News reported. Over the summer, at least two people caught trying to sneak drugs and cellphones into Ventress were taken to the Barbour County Jail, according to al.com and WTVM.
