Most city and county jails in Arkansas turn over at least 40% of their inmates each month, another 30% every 90 days, and another 20% every six months. Approximately 8-9% remain incarcerated for six to twelve months. Those held longer than a year are typically facing serious charges such as rape or murder, which take longer to prepare for trial, so offenders arrested in Randolph County on those charges stay in one of the Randolph County facilities much longer.
In Arkansas, all persons charged with a crime are bailable before conviction, except for capital offenses when the proof is evident or the presumption is great. Sheriff Kevin Bell’s office runs it, and Mandy Scott serves as jail administrator. The line at (870) 892-8888 is answered 24 hours a day. Administrative hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The sheriff keeps a current inmate roster and a list of people released in the past 48 hours, along with a most wanted page on the same site. If you suspect a warrant, call the sheriff’s office or an attorney before showing up. Arkansas Rule of Criminal Procedure 8.1 requires a first appearance before a judge without unnecessary delay, generally within 48 hours. Randolph County is in the Third Judicial Circuit with Jackson, Lawrence and Sharp counties. Search case records on Search ARCourts at caseinfo.arcourts.gov/opad.

There are three choices for putting money on an inmate's books:
Choice 1 - Dropping Money at the Jail
Bring money to the jail in person.
Jail personnel will process the Inmate Account payment.
Randolph County Jail has a Tiger Kiosk in the Lobby that accepts cash, debit or credit cards.

If you can't get your questions answered online call the Randolph County Jail at 870-892-8888.
Choice 2 - Deposit Inmate Money Online
Randolph County Jail and others often use a private company to process all online deposits to an inmate's account. The company charges you a small fee for doing so, but the fee probably isn't as much as gas and parking would cost to take it to the jail in person.
Go to the online site for depositing funds. You will need to register an account, which is free to do and use a debit/credit card for the deposits.
Choice 3 - Mail the Inmate Deposit to the Jail
Mailing a deposit takes more time to process than the other methods but can be done if you live too far away to bring it in person and you don't have a debit/credit card for online deposits. Never send cash. Always send a Money Order from the US Post Office, a reputable bank or Western Union.
Make the Money Order out to the inmate's name and put their Inmate ID# in memo section of the Money Order.
Call Randolph County Jail at 870-892-8888 to confirm the address to send the money order to and how they want it made out.
Failure to do this properly will delay your inmate getting his account credited and may require you to have to resubmit a second money order.
Call 870-892-8888 to ask facility personnel who to make the money order out to, and where to send it.
