To determine if someone that you know is being detained at the facility you can call the front desk at 765-342-4303, and they will be able to tell you if they are present and if they have bail, they’ll tell you how much and when/where it can be paid.
The Morgan County Jail also has a work release center and provides work opportunities for qualified inmates both within and out of the campus. Those who are participating in the work program will be unable to have visits during working hours, it is important to check with any inmate before scheduling a visit to ensure they are available at that time. Visits that are booked during working hours, when an inmate is in class, or if they are participating in a program at the time of the visit, will be canceled.
In addition to the work release program there are also several other programs including support groups, inmate worker program, community corrections worker, religious programs, mental health programs and treatments, counseling, full medical service, support for veterans who are incarcerated, life skill classes and vocational counseling to ensure there are employment opportunities after release, re-entry programs to ease the transition, and discharge services upon release.

As all visits have moved to video visits, each inmate is provided one free remote visit each week, with others being paid online where you can also schedule your visit which must be done at least 24 hours in advance. - It will then ask them to go to a direct link to the inmate's account on the Inmate Sales website.
- The website will then instruct them to use a credit card to put money on the inmate's account.
Cost of Chirping:
- If an inmate has available funds on their chirping device they will be able to chirp any cell phone and that chirp will appear to be a normal text.
- If you wish to stop receiving Chirps from an inmate, reply to the Chirp with STOP.
