1. Where is the jail?

↑ Back to the question list

2. What does the inmate list show?

A booking photo, the booking date, each charge and the bond, which may be a dollar amount, a cash-or-surety figure or "no bond." With roughly 5,300 residents, the county usually lists only a handful of people. A name may be missing because booking is still underway, the person was released or moved, or the hold belongs to another agency; call 785-877-5710 to check.

3. Are mugshots online?

Yes, the inmate list carries a booking photo for each person currently held. Once someone is released the entry comes down; for an older photo ask the sheriff under the Kansas open-records law (K.S.A. 45-215). ICE photos: ICE FOIA.

Once a video-visit account is approved, the same account can add money to the inmate's account. To add money only, for phone time or commissary, use the online deposit link on the sheriff's jail page. See our money page, commissary page and phone page.
