Scott County Juvenile Detention Center

Scott County juveniles hwo are arrested or committed to a detention facility will be housed at the East Central Regional Juvenile Center. It offers full services to juveniles from any of the counties and communities who access it. Along with basic needs such as a room for sleeping and preparing, bathrooms for daily showers and hygiene, food services to provide well rounded meals and care for the nutritional needs of each of the juveniles, and academic education, they will also receive medical and dental care as well as mental health care including therapy or counseling as needed. Life skills are focused on throughout their stay, including responsibility, accountability, and discipline. A strict schedule is followed, which includes time for rest, recreational activities, physical education and opportunities for sports and group activities. By practicing positive social interactions, juveniles will leave the facility better suited and more prepared for a return to their community. A wide range of programs are offered, including substance abuse treatments, trauma informed counseling, family counseling, and several life skills.   • All visits need to be set up with staff prior to arrival. Please call to schedule your appointment. 
  • Legal Guardians have the right to an initial visit anytime. After that, visiting hours will apply.
  • All visitors will be required to show proper photo identification and will be required to sign into the visitor log.
  • NO cell phones, food or beverages may be brought into the facility.
  • Visits are limited to 1 hour in length.
