About the Sherman County Sheriff
The Sherman County Sheriff in Nebraska is responsible for maintaining law and order in the county, and has charge and custody of the jail and its prisoners. The Sherman County Jail was built in 1975 and has an inmate capacity of 83. However, according to another source, the jail has an inmate capacity of 102 and operates at between 70 to 85% capacity. To work for the Sherman County Sheriff, one must be at least 21 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and have no felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence or integrity convictions. The Sherman County Sheriff's Office is located in Loup City, Nebraska. The office is located on the bottom floor of the Courthouse in Loup City, NE. The office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Sheriff's office is responsible for patrolling the entire county and providing law enforcement to all of Sherman County. The Sheriff of Sherman County is Michael P. Jepsen. The Sheriff's office can be contacted at 308-745-1511. The mailing address for the Sherman County Sheriff's Office is Sherman County Sheriff's Office, 630 O Street, Loup City, Nebraska 68853. The Sherman County Sheriff's Office is located in Loup City, Nebraska. The office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Sheriff's Office is responsible for patrolling the entire county and providing law enforcement to all of Sherman County, from its border with Canada to its border with Lincoln County. The Sherman County jail houses inmates for the Sherman County Sheriff's Office and other area law enforcement agencies in need of jail space. Inmates at the Sherman County Jail are allowed two 45-minute onsite video visits each week, which must be scheduled in advance. Video visitation from remote locations is open every day between 8:00 am to 11:59 pm MST. The Sherman County Sheriff's Office is located in Loup City, Nebraska, and provides law enforcement services. The sheriff has charge and custody of the jail and its prisoners, except in counties where a county board of corrections exists and has duties over the jail. The Sherman County Jail houses inmates for the Sherman County Sheriff's Office and other area law enforcement agencies in need of jail space. Inmates at the Sherman County Jail are allowed two 45-minute onsite video visits each week, which must be scheduled in advance.
