Following these instructions exactly will enhance your chances of getting official approval to visit an inmate.

Visiting Hours in Orange County Correctional Facility

Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Session I:

Visitation 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Session II:

9;20 a.m. to 10:20 a.m.

Session III:

11:50 a.m. to 12:50 p.m.

Session IV:

1:10 p.m. to 2:10 p.m.

Visits are 50 minutes long and up to three adults can visit an inmate at once.

Inmates can have up to two visits per day but each visitor may only visit once per day.

Who Can Visit an Inmate in Orange County Correctional Facility

Anyone over the age of 18, who can show a valid government-issued photo ID can visit inmates at this jail.

Periodic warrant checks are run on visitor ID’s. If an active warrant is discovered, you will be arrested at the jail.  

Children under age 18 must be accompanied by the parent or legal guardian.

The Orange County Correctional Facility reserves the right to deny any person the right to enter the jail it chooses and for any reason.

The Orange County Correctional Facility staff will turn anyone away who is not dressed appropriately for a visit.

The best way to be sure the visit takes place is to dress as if you are meeting someone's grandmother for the first time. 

Wear clothes that are not revealing.

Don't wear see-through material.

Have all undergarments covered (males and females) and avoid a lot of cleavage.

Shorts and skirts should reach mid-thigh.

Sleeves should be at least half-way to your elbow.

The following types of clothing are also prohibited:

Clothing promoting gang affiliation.

Anything displaying drugs, weapons or profanity.

Clothing depicting anything obscene.

It is a good idea to bring a change of clothing and keep it in the vehicle. If the staff turns you away due to dress code issues, you will be allowed to change into something they approve and go to your visit.

Orange County Correctional Facility Visitation Tips, Rules and Guidelines

Jail visits are conducted in person, therefore, the jail is strict about not allowing you to bring anything to the visit.

Visits can be scheduled from one day to one week in advance.

Visits might be canceled for various reasons such as lock-downs, security issues or staffing availability.

You and the inmate may have one brief embrace, hand-shake or kiss at the beginning and end of the visit. No other physical contact is allowed during the visit.

Inmates may hold children under the age of 2 in their laps, however, once the inmate passes the child back to the visitor, the inmate may not hold the child again during this visit.

You must comply if asked to go through the drug detection machine.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and the adult must bring the child’s original/certified birth certificate.

Leave all personal belongings, except for your state ID in your vehicle or you may use the provided lockers at the jail. You will need a quarter which will be returned to you following the visit.
The jail cannot provide change. .

Children must be monitored at all times or jail staff will end the visit early.

You cannot cross-talk or gesture to any other inmates or visitors during your visit. If you do, your visit will be terminated.

You may not use the restroom during your visit. If you do, your visit will be terminated.
