This facility has holding cells for those who have just been arrested and for anyone who is attending a court hearing on that day. It does not house long term inmates, and jail services have been contracted to the Winner Jail in the city of Winner, SD. This is where detainees are transferred from the location, and where any and all sentences will be served. The facility allows phone calls from inmates to their friends or family each day, and they will also have access to visits from those on their visitor list during the hours of 7pm-8:30pm on Tuesdays through Thursdays and 3pm-4:30pm on Saturdays. Two visitors may appear at one time, and at least one must be over the age of 18, with no minors being admitted without their parent or guardian present. Visitors may drop off person hygiene items for the detainee, but they must call the jail first to arrange for this to occur during the visit, to have the items approved and all items can be searched for contraband before they are provided to any inmate.
