This 12 bed facility provides rehabilitation to juvenile offenders as well as providing a secure facility that protects the safety of the juveniles as well as the community and members of the community. Those who are held at the location are waiting for their court date, who are waiting to be transferred to another jurisdiction, or who are adjudicated and assigned to the facility for a set period of time. This facility is adjacent to the adult facility; however, they are kept separated both for sight and sound, from any adult in detention and the adult section of the building. Not only are those who are arrested in this county housed at the location but also surrounding counties who do not have their own facilities or if their facility is at capacity. Juvenile Services and the Juvenile Court are also on the same site, ensuring that all of the detained youth are able to easily access their services required and attend all court dates without transportation requirements or risks.
