Bastrop County uses NCIC video for all visiting at 1601 Mills Street. You can sit at a camera kiosk in the jail’s visitation center at no charge, or log in from a phone or tablet anywhere for a fee; either way, set up an NCIC account first at ncic.com or 800-943-2189. On-site sessions follow the Monday–Thursday kiosk schedule, and remote sessions are open seven days a week.
Under the Sheriff’s rules a typical inmate gets two non-contact sessions a week, each capped at 20 minutes, handed out first come, first served, and only two visitors may share a session. Arrive 30 minutes before an on-site visit with a valid government photo ID, leave purses, wallets and phones in the car (only car keys come in), keep anyone under 17 under an adult’s direct supervision, and wear sleeved shirts and shoes, with nothing tight, revealing or offensive. All visits are monitored and recorded.
