The Judge Ricardo H. Garcia Regional Juvenile Detention Facility is a 50-bed pre-adjudication and post-adjudication, Secure residential treatment program consisting of specialized treatment programs provided by Licensed Professional Counselors, 3 Certified Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors and Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Providers. Sex Offender Treatment / AIDS & Sex Education Integrating the most current and effective sex offender treatment services for males available with a cognitive behavioral approach focused on thinking errors and cognitive restructuring. Behavioral Health Services (Individual, Group, & Family) Providing services for male residents who display persistent and severe emotional difficulties and who cannot respond to treatment in a less restrictive environment. Diagnostic Assessment / Crisis Intervention Treatment Providing short-term, cost effective stabilization and evaluation for males with recommendations for continuing treatment options. Mental Health Services Provided by Licensed Professional Counselor who is on Staff along with in house Psychiatric Services for Medication reviews and evaluations Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Services Serving adolescent males with behavior disorders and chemical abuse or dependency issues. Habitual Offender Treatment Serving aggressive young males who are in need of a highly structured and restrictive environment. Most of these youth will have had significant histories of delinquent or criminal activity.
