Within The Youth Center of the High Plains there is one section dedicated to pre-adjudication cases and another for post-adjudication, with 86 beds total and 32 of those beds being post-adjudication. Both male and female juveniles are accepted to the location and have full access to the rehabilitation, treatment, and other programs that are available. While most of the juveniles are from Randall and Potter County, they are able to accept others from the surrounding counties when they are needed. For those on the pre-adjudication side there is a Rational Behavior Training program, along with social skills and substance abuse education, and they use levels for behavior to manage rewards and consequences for behavior. Physical activity is provided for all residents in the facility, as well as medical and mental health services. The Canyon Independant School District provides the educational needs of all of the students, so they are not falling behind and are able to catch up to their class if they did fall behind.
