About the Riverside Regional Jail
The Riverside Regional Jail in Virginia is located in North Prince George and houses inmates from seven surrounding areas. The campus has 5 distinct areas that have 5 housing units in each and this creates a sprawling campus with a central building and several linked outer buildings. All staff are well trained and ongoing training is provided on site to help maintain the high standards of care that are expected in the facility. Each staff member is focused on treating all inmates humanely and with respect, and maintaining a safe, secure, and sanitary facility. In order to support the ongoing growth and future success of all inmates there are several type of programs available for those who choose to engage in them or who are sentenced to partake in the sessions. Services include mental health counselling, recovery, referrals for ongoing substance abuse treatments, education on preventative measure for health, anger management, voting education, glasses, therapy through art, trauma abuse counselling, relapse prevention, and much more. Inmates who make use of the services and resources available to them will have a lower rate of recidivism and can leave the facility with improved skills for job searches along with improved skills and further education. Programs are also in place to help with clothing, housing, transportation and further resources upon their release, offering many ways to support their successful reintegration. As well as the supports within the facility there are several opportunities for loved ones who are outside of the facility to offer support to inmates. One of these is to add money to the inmate account so they may make purchases from the commissary that is run each week, either through the kiosk in the lobby or by sending care packages throughaccesscatalog.com/shop. Friends and family can also receive phone calls from the inmate, which is funded through their commissary account. For further contact visitation is provided onsite for all inmates who are not on disciplinary action. These visits are scheduled in advance through rrjva.renovosoftware.com and each visitor is subject to a security check upon arrival and therefore suggested to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled visit time. The schedule varies by week, with the final schedule available at the booking portal, but hours will range from 8am until 4:45pm each Saturday.

Inmate Bail and Bonding

The Prince George County Sheriff recommends that you use a bail bond agent licensed to do business in the county.

You can pay a cash bond yourself, or use your home in Prince George County, or in some cases the state of Virginia, but the benefit of using a bail bond agent is that they take responsibility for making sure the inmate shows up for court in Prince George County, and if they don't, then they take the responsibility.
The typical fee for a bond will be between 10-20% of the bail amount; usually 15%.
So if an offender has a bail of $10,000.00, their bond will be $1500.00.

Call 804-524-6600 to find out the exact bond (plus other fees) amount, or look it up online by looking up the information on the Prince George County inmate locator.
